El pediatra Ilan Shapiro explica que COVID-19 afecta a los niños, y la vacuna ayuda a prevenir la enfermedad grave.
El hecho de que nuestros niños sobrevivan más no quiere decir que no les pase nada. Los niños pueden tener lo que se llama el COVID prolongado. También se pueden enfermar a tal grado que terminan en el hospital o en cuidados intensivos, y son cosas que queremos evitar completamente y muy importante, hemos escuchado mucho de los síndromes inflamatorios que están pasando en los niños y los pacientes pediátricos. Por eso con la vacuna reducimos todo este tipo de problemas y muy importante, le damos las herramientas y utensilios a nuestros hijos para que se puedan defender. Por eso, familia es sumamente importante vacunarnos, a toda la comunidad, incluyendo a nuestros niños, para poder cerrar este ciclo de sufrimiento. Cerrar este ciclo de gente que hemos perdido y muy importante crear ese puente entre nosotros y un futuro mucho mejor para nuestros hijos.
