Can the vaccine give my child COVID?

Health care workers answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccines.

Shaquita Bell, MD explains that the COVID vaccines do not use a live virus and won’t give your child COVID.
I can say, and there are very few things in medicine that I can say with absolute certainty, and I can say with absolute certainty, that the COVID vaccine will not give you or your child coronavirus infection. The reason why is there is no coronavirus infection in that injection. We did not use any of the coronavirus in the vaccine. It is purely proteins that tell your body a list of exercises to fight against the infection. It does not have any of the infection in it.
