Health care workers answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccines.
Sheryl Heron, MD, MPH explains how herd immunity from the COVID vaccines helps prevent the spread of COVID.
The goal is to make sure everyone gets up to herd immunity. We hear that all the time, whether it’s 85-90%, what Dr. Fauci, you know, talks about to be able to then make sure that everyone as they are protected if you will or immunized if you will, would mitigate and then flatten the curve, lessen the curve of new cases. And then, you know, outcomes of death which is really what we’re trying to prevent.
